Toronto Zoo family packing list
Five useful things, one light bag—and no reason to turn a family day into a shopping project.
Start here
The most important items are not Amazon products.
Bring each adult member’s photo ID or make sure the photo is on the digital membership card. If annual parking is new, remember that the physical parking pass must be picked up at the Membership Office.

Save the digital card before leaving home and check that every named adult is ready for entry.

Check the official planning page on the morning of the visit; operating details and attraction availability can change.
Comfortable walking shoes
Toronto Zoo lists about 10 kilometres of trails. Shoes the family already knows are usually better than new footwear.

Do not buy a stroller for one Zoo day.
If a child may tire, use a stroller or wagon you already own—or treat the Zoo’s rental desk as a backup. Current double strollers, carry-all wagons and safari-car wagons are each listed at $15 plus tax.
Rentals are first come, first served. Arrive with a backup plan on busy weekends rather than assuming a specific model will be available.
Food and water
A simple picnic can reduce both cost and waiting.
Toronto Zoo says visitors may bring their own picnic lunch and non-alcoholic beverages, with picnic tables around the Zoo. Refill points make a reusable bottle more practical than carrying extra water.
Keep food secured, dispose of waste properly and never feed wildlife. For allergies or special dietary needs, confirm current venue details directly with the Zoo.
