01 / Why we exist
The headline discount is not the decision.
A pass can be excellent value—and still be the wrong purchase for a family that will not visit often enough, needs parking, dislikes reservations or is eligible for another admission option.
PASS.ca exists to make those trade-offs visible before checkout. We compare the pass with the behaviour it requires, then explain who is most likely to benefit and what should be checked first.
The goal is not to sell the most passes. It is to help more people buy the right one—or confidently skip it.

Break-even math uses realistic visits and family scenarios—not the maximum savings printed on a sales page.
Score the whole experience
Value matters, but so do flexibility, useful benefits, booking friction and the strength of the available evidence.

Current scope
Starting small is part of the standard.
PASS.ca is a small, independently operated Canadian publishing project. The current pilot focuses on major Toronto and GTA family attractions so the research can remain useful, current and accountable.
Coverage will expand carefully as the existing library proves that it can be maintained—not simply because another destination or product is available.

PASS.ca began with family days out. When I took my son to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre, Canada’s Wonderland and other attractions, I kept asking the same question: is the pass really worth it for us? Finding the answer took far too long—comparing ticket prices, parking, benefits, restrictions and fine print. I created PASS.ca so other families can spend less time decoding offers and more time enjoying the day.
