ROM Family Membership
A premium membership with excellent access, but the regular family price usually needs three visits to win on admission alone.
The short answer
Regular price rewards repeat museum families, not one-off visits.
ROM uses plan-ahead pricing, so there is no single reliable day-ticket total. Using the upper end of currently published box-office ranges, a two-adult, two-child visit can approach $106; two such visits remain below the regular $225 membership, while three exceed it.
At the regular $225 price, buy for three or more family visits or when the exhibition access and member benefits matter. The current $180 promotion can make two high-price visits competitive, but compare your exact dates before joining.

Three comparable visits clearly exceed it
ROM states that admission varies by date and demand and that booking ahead can save money. Lower-priced days, youth programs or promotional admission push the break-even point later.
The current 20% offer brings the Family Membership to $180. At that temporary price, two higher-price family visits can be enough, even before member benefits are valued.
The $106 example uses the upper end of currently published general-admission ranges, not a guaranteed price for every date. The SUM2026 offer is advertised to expire September 7, 2026.

Members receive unlimited free admission to the museum’s galleries and exhibitions, including member preview opportunities.
A flexible family definition
Family access can cover two named members and two guests, plus up to four children 17 and under—or one named member, three guests and up to four children. An optional caregiver is also available under ROM’s terms.
Useful visit extras
Free coat check, advance booking, selected discounts, programs and reciprocal or exchange opportunities add value for frequent users.
