Annual Membership

A particularly strong family buy when you need three or more memberships and expect to return once within the year.

PASS score92/ 100
Family verdictBuy at 2+ visits
Four memberships$280Two adults + two youth, after 20% off
Two timed visits$304Same family at current base rates

The short answer

The 3+ discount is what makes this a family standout.

Ripley’s sells individual memberships, not one shared family pass. The important rule is that three or more memberships receive 20% off the entire purchase. That turns a two-adult, two-youth package from $350 into $280 before HST—and puts it below two comparable Timed Ticket visits at today’s base rates.

PASS.ca recommendation

Buy for three or more family members when two visits are realistic. For one adult or a couple without a third membership, wait until three visits are likely; the automatic 20% discount does not apply.

Family math

Two visits beat the membership by a small, real margin.

Four annual memberships$280

(2 adults at $100 + 2 youth at $75) × 80%

Two Timed Ticket visits$304

2 × (2 adults at $46 + 2 youth at $30)

The family saves $24 before HST by choosing memberships for two visits. That is not a huge cash gap, but the membership also removes the timed-arrival requirement and adds member discounts and select event access.

01

Two adults + two youth

Memberships cost $280 after the 3+ discount. Two current Timed Ticket visits total $304. Break-even: visit two.

02

Two adults + one child aged 3–5

Memberships cost $184 after the discount. Two Timed Ticket visits total $211. Break-even: visit two.

03

Two adults only

Two memberships cost $200, while two Timed Ticket visits total $184. The membership becomes cheaper on visit three.

All figures exclude HST. Current Timed Ticket base rates are adult $46, youth $30 and child $13.50. Ripley’s ticket system can price by date and time, so confirm the selected slot before checkout.

Beyond admission

Three benefits can make the modest savings feel larger.

01

Flexible repeat visits

Members can skip the ticket-purchase line and visit during regular operating hours without choosing a Timed Ticket window.

02

Bring guests for less

Members currently receive 30% off Flex Tickets for up to four guests on the same visit, subject to availability.

03

On-site and event savings

Current benefits include 20% off café and gift-shop purchases, programming discounts and free access to select events such as Friday Night Jazz.

Before you buy

Four rules are worth remembering.

01

Every person needs a membership

This is not a transferable family card. Children and youth must have their own membership and be accompanied by an adult.

02

Activation and expiry need confirmation

Online purchases must be activated at Guest Services. Ripley’s page advertises 12 months from purchase but also says a membership is not valid until first use, so confirm the displayed expiry date.

03

The purchase is personal and final

Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable, and published member benefits can change without notice.

04

A day ticket can become a membership

Ripley’s says a Timed Ticket can be upgraded on-site within 24 hours of the visit, which is the safer route if visit two is still uncertain.
