AGO Annual Pass

One of Toronto’s easiest pass decisions: a paying adult can recover the $40 annual price on visit two.

Break-evenVisit 2Two admissions cost $60

The short answer

For a paying adult, the second visit does the work.

Two standard $30 admissions cost $60. The $40 Annual Pass therefore saves $20 by visit two and includes both the AGO Collection and special exhibitions for a full year.

PASS.ca recommendation

Buy when a paying adult expects two or more visits within 12 months. First check free eligibility: Ontario residents ages 14–24 can currently register for a free annual pass, and younger visitors may already receive free admission.

Simple math

This threshold needs almost no forecasting.

One standard visit$30

Ten dollars below the pass

Two standard visits$60

Twenty dollars above the pass

Annual Pass$40

Unlimited admission for 12 months

The math is strongest for adults who pay standard admission and want at least one return visit or special exhibition. A single visit is still cheaper as a day ticket.

Because the annual price is close to one admission, even a tentative second visit can be a reasonable bet—provided the cardholder is not already entitled to free access.

Pass access

Broad admission, intentionally light extras.

01

Collection and exhibitions

The Annual Pass includes unlimited admission to the AGO Collection and all special exhibitions for 12 months.

02

One cardholder

This is an individual pass, so couples and families should calculate each paying visitor separately.

03

Selected event savings

Passholders receive discounts on selected events and an exclusive newsletter, but this is not the full membership package.

Know the tier

Annual Pass and AGO membership are different products.

01

No member lounge

The $40 Annual Pass does not include the Members’ Lounge; that benefit begins at a higher membership level.

02

No retail or dining discount

Shop, dining and free coat-check benefits are not part of the basic Annual Pass.

03

Check free access first

Ontario residents ages 14–24 have a free annual-pass route, and other age or seasonal programs may make a paid pass unnecessary.
